The John Muir Trust has two key aims for wildness:

  1. To promote greater recognition of the value and experience of wildness so that more people can enjoy the health and wellbeing benefits that wild nature offers.
  2. To nurture wildness through good stewardship and by repairing and rewilding impoverished ecosystems.
