Wild moment: Alison Wright

The moon over Birnam Hill

Salmon somersault upstream
Dark water glides silently past
A molten mass, caressing my mind

The moon hangs hazy over
Birnam Hill, disguised as a cloud
A misty shroud, of sun cast pinks and blues

I sit in spirals of heart-shaped leaves
My body breathes, the crisp October night
