4 June – A look at woodland regeneration and signs of badgers and otters near the coastline. Meet at lay-by on B869 above river at Torr a’ Ghamhna (waterfall layby) grid ref. NC214323. 11am-2pm

2 July – Crofting and working with nature. The walk/talk will cover machair management and a croft visit where veggies are grown organically. Meet at Achmelvich car park, grid ref. NC057247. 11am-1pm

27 August – A look at woodland regeneration and signs of badgers and otters near the coastline. Meet at lay-by on B869 above river at Torr a’ Ghamhna (waterfall layby) grid ref. NC214323. 11am-2pm

 3 September – Guided photography walk/talk with Nick Hanson. Learn camera tips from an expert on a mountain walk up part of Spidean Coinich. This walk offers great views and possible sightings of red deer, mountain hare and golden eagles. Meet at car park north of Skiag Bridge, grid ref NC233274. 11am-1pm walk, followed by talk (2pm-4pm) in the community room in Lochinver Village Hall. Cost £25, tea/coffee and biscuits provided. 3 October – Nut collection walk with our partners at Coigach-Assynt Living Landscape (CALL) to collect seed sources for the native tree nursery. Meet at Lochinver car park next to church/bus stop, grid ref NC094227. 10am-2pm

All walks are led by John Muir Trust staff.  You are responsible for your own safety and that of your children. Dress appropriately for changeable Highland weather and bring good sturdy shoes/boots and packed lunch/snack.
