Edinburgh Festival event: Living in Nature
Indian artist and campaigning conservationist Ravi Agarwal’s first solo UK exhibition takes place at Edinburgh Printmakers this summer
Indian artist and campaigning conservationist Ravi Agarwal undertook a research residency in the Scottish Highlands in 2017, where he was supported by the John Muir Trust and our Sandwood manager Don O'Driscoll among others.
Don helped Ravi research the pressures facing nature in Scotland and the challenges involved in working with communities to rewild damaged landscapes.
This work informed a print studio residency at Edinburgh Printmakers, where Ravi developed his first solo UK art exhibition - Nadar / Prakriti (loosely translated as living in nature) - which will be on during the 2018 Edinburgh Festival.
NB - The exhibition will be launched by a free but ticketed panel discussion on 28 July, when our Sandwood Manager Don will join Ravi and other special guests for what promises to be an interesting afternoon.
- Book for the free 28 July panel discussion on Eventbrite, featuring our Sandwood manager Don O'Driscoll, artist Ravi and other special guests, on Eventbrite.
- See Ravi’s art exhibition at Edinburgh Printmakers till 20 October 2018.
