Edinburgh-based John Muir Trust Members are invited for guided walk through Leadburn Community Woodland near Penicuik and to find out more about volunteering there.

Come along for a guided walk and discover the rich and maturing mosaic of habitats in the Leadburn Community Woodland including: 7,000 native trees planted since 2007; four permanent ponds and one seasonal pond; 17 hectares of raised bog restored in 2009 and 3.8 hectares restored in in 2021.

When: 10.30-13.00 on Sunday 24 October 2021.  

Where: Meet in the layby on the right hand side of the A703 just south of the Leadburn junction. What3Words: umbrellas.leave.blockage.

Bring: stout boots, warm clothes, waterproofs some food and a flask of something hot to drink
