Thirlmere volunteer days
As part of the Thirlmere Resilience Project, we are running monthly volunteer days in the heart of the Lake District National Park at Thrilmere, 9.30am - 4pm. Find out how to get involved.
7 May - Brash hedging or bracken bashing
26 June - Bracken bashing
5 July - Bracken bashing

Bring: A packed lunch/snack, waterproofs, warm clothes, good sturdy shoes/boots.

- The Thirlmere Resilience Project - to create a more dynamic biodiverse catchment with native woodland and peatland restoration to achieve better raw water quality - is a partnership between John Muir Trust and United Utilities, Cumbria Wildlife Trust, Natural England, West Cumbria Rivers Trust and the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology at Lancaster University.
