The John Muir Trust works to protect and enhance the UK’s wild land. That land is fast disappearing. A range of extractive forms of land use are contributing to its impoverishment but the main pressure on wild land is from energy infrastructure, hence our interest in national energy policy and expertise gained over the past decade, working alongside energy and transmission experts such as the Institute of Engineers and Shipbuilders In Scotland (IESIS).
