Members' Special Resolutions

The Board supports the need to assist Members’ advance special resolutions where the proposed resolution benefits the charitable objectives - they recognise that it can be difficult to attract support from 5% of the membership.

To assist in this, we have introduced a process whereby Members may submit proposals for special resolutions. These will be considered by the Board and where the Board agree, we will provide a platform for these resolutions, alongside any comment from the Board, to be visible on the website for Members to consider.

If you wish to put a Members' Request to the Board for a Special Resolution, please email membership@johnmuirtrust.org with the subject line 'Special Resolution'.
