Scotland’s new National Planning Framework

The Trust submits its response to the Scottish Government's 'Call for Ideas' on Scotland’s fourth National Planning Framework (NPF4).

The Scottish Government has begun preparing Scotland’s fourth National Planning Framework (NPF4). As part of its early public engagement the Scottish Government has five “big” questions. It is asking what you think Scotland will be like in 2050 and what changes are needed to get us there.

If you are interested in sending in your own thoughts please do so before 30 April 2020. You can send your comments to the Scottish Government at scotplan@gov.scot along with the completed Respondent Information Form that you can find on the Scottish Government's website.

UPDATED Feb 2021: See responses here

This is not a formal consultation and the government are not expecting detailed answers to each of these questions. There will be more opportunities to contribute as the process continues, with a formal consultation expected around September 2020.
