In the coming weeks we will be updating our existing composting toilet facility at Blà Bheinn and installing a new cattle grid and fencing to accommodate an increase in visitor usage and ensure safe access to the popular car park, on land in our care on Skye.

Our facilities have degraded due to the increasing number of vehicles using the site for day and overnight stops.

Contractors will start fitting out the toilets on Wednesday 14 May, followed by the cattle grid installation in the following weeks, with works expected to be completed by Friday 6 June 2025.

There will be significant disruption to the car park and toilets at this time.

Visitors are asked to obey safety signage be aware of possible closures. We ask that no vehicles are left parked overnight because they could get stuck for days.

The work is possible thanks to a grant from the Community Regeneration Fund Fire risk sign at Bla Bheinn car park on Skye
