Trust welcomes new Trustees at AGM

Following the Trust's Annual General Meeting on Monday 15 September 2025 we are pleased to introduce the latest Trustees.

2025 Gathering - Isaac Johnnston talk

During this year's AGM, held online on Monday 15 September, the Trust's Chair Jane Smallman ran through the formal items on the Agenda, as well as providing an update on our work during 2024, before Trustee Carol White and Director of Finance and Resources Rob Buckman gave a financial update. Find out more detail of their reports here.

The Special Resolution to adopt the revised version of the 2021 Articles of Association was passed and attendees heard the results of this year's Trustee election.

In 2025 there were seven valid nominations for four vacancies. Dominick Spracklen and Steve Carver join our Board of Trustees, while Emily Sutton and Damian Aubrey have been reappointed to the Board as Trustees. In addition, we have re co-opted David McKay as a Trustee with specialist skills for another year.

Our Trustees help to shape the work of the Trust and contribute their skills and knowledge to areas of work from conservation and lobbying government to financial management. The Board of Trustees needs a wide range of skills that complement existing Trustees, including: wild place management (nationally and internationally); environmental legislation and its role in helping to protect wild places; ecology and land management; planning legislation; finance and investment management.

The Trust very much looks forward to the experience our newly elected Trustees will bring to the organisation and thank our valued Trustees who were demitting office – John Finney and Eelco de Jong.

We look forward to welcoming newly elected, re-elected, current and co-opted Trustees to the next Board meeting in mid December.
