A toast to Schiehallion 

Raising a glass to two years of partnership with Ben Lomond Gin. 

Two years ago we launched a special collaboration with Ben Lomond Gin, creating together a limited-edition Schiehallion Gin inspired by one of Scotland’s most iconic mountains and the wild landscape in our care. 

Now, as we approach two years of this partnership, we’re raising a glass once again, not just to a beautifully crafted Scottish gin, but to the conservation work it helps support. 

Schiehallion is a mountain shaped by time, weather and people. It is also a place of restoration, where native woodland is returning and fragile upland habitats are being carefully protected for future generations. 

To capture the spirit of this landscape, three botanicals were selected from the mountain’s foothills, with guidance from our conservation team: 

• Blaeberries (bilberries) – found along the moorland edges, hidden among the heather 

• Wild thyme (pictured below) – long associated with flavour, fragrance and folklore 

• Birch leaves – symbolising the native woodland regeneration taking place on the mountain 

The result is a gin that is sweet, crisp and gently floral; a flavour profile rooted firmly in place. Every bottle sold makes a direct contribution to our work to protect and restore wild places.

Partnerships like this work best when they are rooted in shared values. Over the past two years, our collaboration with Ben Lomond Gin has demonstrated how businesses and conservation charities can work together in thoughtful, purposeful ways. 

As we look to the future, we hope to continue building on this relationship, strengthening both the storytelling and the support behind it, ensuring that every sip carries the spirit of Schiehallion and contributes to the protection of Scotland’s wild places.
