Nevis 25: a celebration
On 21 June 2025 the John Muir Trust celebrated 25 years of caring for Nevis.
As the highest mountain in the UK, Ben Nevis is a natural source of inspiration to many. A place of adventure and achievement, spectacular beauty and rare wildlife, it’s somewhere that leaves visitors with a true sense of wildness. But the appeal of Nevis is much more than the peak – it’s the rocky slopes, the crags that provide a home to rare Alpine plants, the plunging waterfall at Steall, and the vibrant native woodlands that edge the river.
There are so many ways to get involved in our Nevis 25 celebrations:
- Read our review of our work on Nevis, as well as our plans for the next 25 years.
- Read our exclusive interview with Nevis Manager of nearly 20 years, Ali Austin.
- Donate to our Nevis 25 Appeal or fund an item from our Wish List
