Pentland Peaks Challenge to fundraise for the Trust
Take part in this year’s endurance walking challenge near Edinburgh and every penny raised will go to two charities – including the John Muir Trust!
We are delighted to be named as one of two charity partners of the 2023 Artemis Pentland Peaks Challenge - an endurance walking in the Pentland Hills near Edinburgh. Last year’s inaugural event raised over £100,000 for charity and, with the help of 500 intrepid walkers, we are aiming to double that amount in 2023!
Thanks to the support of Artemis Investment Management, 100 per cent of the sponsorship raised will be split equally between the Trust and Mary’s Meals - an incredible charity serving over 2.4 million nutritious school meals each day to children living in some of the world’s poorest countries.
We’re looking for 500 keen walkers!
The event will take place on Saturday 2 September 2023 with three challenge routes designed to test every level of fitness - Gold (27 Miles), Silver (14 Miles) and Bronze (8 miles). Dogs are welcome (on a lead please!) and all routes have stunning views of Edinburgh, with the Forth Bridges and Fife to the north and the Borders to the south.
Participants must be 18 years or over, however 16-17 year olds can take part if accompanied by a parent or guardian. There is a £50 registration cost and all participants are asked to raise a minimum of £250. Teams of six or more are offered a 20 per cent discount on the registration fees, so why not take on the challenge with a group of friends or work colleagues?
