Trust welcomes new ATV guidance

Handy new guide aims to protect fragile upland habitat from damage caused by all-terrain vehicles.

The Trust and other members of Scottish Environment LINK’s hilltracks campaign welcome a new code of practice from the Cairngorms National Park Authority that will help land managers reduce damage to fragile upland habitats.

The ATV User Guide contains a short checklist covering the use of ATVs - such as quad bikes, Argocats and other four wheel drive vehicles – on the open hillside. The guide will be distributed to colleges, ATV training providers and other industry bodies.

  • Read the ATV User Guide  on the Cairngorms National Park Authority’s website.
