Trustee call

Our Trustees help to shape the work of the Trust, and contribute their skills and knowledge to areas of work from conservation and lobbying government to financial management.

The Board of Trustees had four vacancies for three-year terms in 2026*. We looked for Trustees that bring fresh ideas and experience to help guide our strategic approaches and deliver our charitable purpose.

We encouraged applications from diverse backgrounds and wanted to hear from potential Trustees who brought career experience of management and a desire to help with strategic oversight in the following areas:

• Ecological restoration
• Campaigning to increase public support
• Finance in charity, business or public sectors
• Governance and compliance in the charity sector
• Engagement and communication
• Project management
• Crofting
• Community engagement.

*Many thanks to Members who voted in our Trustee election, which closed at 12.30pm on 13 August 2026. Our new Trustees will  be announced at our in-person AGM at Peebles in the Scottish Borders on Saturday 26 September.
