Trust backs launch of Rewilding Britain charity
Working with Rewilding Britain to inspire, inform and grow awareness of an important approach to nature conservation
Wild land charity the John Muir Trust has backed the launch of a new charity called Rewilding Britain.
“Since its own inception the John Muir Trust has had a vision that fits closely with the approach recently coined by the term rewilding”, said Stuart Brooks, Chief Executive of the John Muir Trust.
“Rewilding has many potential benefits for nature and people and the Trust welcomes considered debate on where it is a suitable approach that land managers can employ. We look forward to working with Rewilding Britain to inspire, inform and grow awareness of this important approach to nature conservation.”
The John Muir Trust policy ‘Rewilding: Restoring Ecosystems for Nature and People’ outlines its position on rewilding.
